Outfit 44 - Dark Floral Tunic

I have another shirt like this in a different pattern, and I've been wondering how to incorporate this into my wardrobe for awhile now.

Don't worry!  I'm wearing shorts underneath!  Gee, good thing I'm wearing shorts!  Can't get away not doing so!

I have this cardigan in brown too!  :D  I love how bright this cardigan is.

Hey, my bum is not that big! (Darn!)  =P  Here's proof that I'm wearing shorts though!  :D

Outfit 43 - Lace Sleeveless Top + Shorts

I am wearing two shirts here!  The top layer is actually a completely see-through lace shirt.  I tried it on without a shirt underneath, but I decided to save your eyes and forgo any pictures of that.  =P Also, it's quite rare of me to feature shorts!  Too bad summer is coming to an end!  I just recently thrifted a bunch of shorts too!  >_<

I decided to use my candy-wrapper black purse.  :D

Here's this cropped cardigan that you guys have and will be seeing a lot of!  Oh, not to alarm you, but I thrifted this very same version in a different color! :D :D :D

Outfit 42 - Forever21 Red Gingham Dress

I swear I ironed out this dress, and it still looks wrinkly!  Oh wellz.  That's what I guess I should expect from Forever21 quality!  Good thing this was only priced as a shirt at Goodwill.  It's not even lined!

But, I couldn't resist it!  :D

It has a retro feel to it.  I like.  :D

Yep, ALL red today, including the cute little red purse!  This just might be my girliest outfit!

By the way, I've never said the word "gingham" aloud, nor do I think I've heard it in person, so I don't really know how it's pronounced!  >_<

Outfit 41 - American Eagle Purple Floral Tiered Dress

I love when I find dresses that just fit, length-wise, at Goodwill!  I admit I'm kinda self-conscious about my armpit flab though!  =P  Hopefully admitting this will help motivate me to get rid of it!

I barely just realized but the strings that I tied in the front can probably be used as straps!  Gee, how come I wasn't clever enough to realize that right away?  =P

I knew I was going to pair this jean jacket with the dress even before I made my purchase.  :P

Let's just throw a floral purse into the mix!

Outfit 40 - Target Black Floral Dress

Here is yet another dress from the 75% off clearance rack at Target.  I seem to have some success finding dresses that actually fit - length-wise.  I've had this magenta belt in my wardrobe for years, back when belts first came back in.  There were mostly wide belts at the time and now skinnier belts have taken the lime light.  So, what do you think about wider belts?  Are they a no-no for petites?  I've heard such things, but I need confirmation!  I guess it also really depends on the outfit!  =P

This cropped blue cardigan matches my shoes perfectly!  :D Oooh, this dress also has pockets!  Neato!

This light purple cardigan matches the flowers more.

And, this purse matches the light purple cardigan!  Matchy-matchy!  That's a little too much!  =P

Outfit 39 - Chambray Shirt + White Nautical Skirt

Does this count as a chambray shirt?  I got this from Target a few years ago!  I love the color!  *Sigh*

This outfit has a nautical feel to it....maybe it's the pockets of the skirt and the buttons, which I failed to include a detailed shot of.  Hahahaha! >_<

Look, I wore my necklace on the outside of my shirt again! I act like I'm so proud for doing this, when it has been done for awhile by many others.  =P

The gold chain on the purse matches all the rest of the gold accents from the buttons of the skirt to the necklace.  :D

Outfit 38 - Light Green Button-Up Shirt + Forest Green Skirt

I love this skirt!  I have another one that looks eerily similar - the peasant skirt I featured a week ago!  I even bought them on the same thrifting trip!  >_<  The shades of green are slightly different.  That's what I used as an excuse!

Oh, it's the mandatory belting!

I added this knit/crochet vest.  Much warmer now!

In the previous entry, I mentioned our mosquito problem.  Today, I come to you with a solution....one that is rather silly but practical!  At first, I looked into some indoor mosquito catching machines on Amazon, but all of those were poorly rated.  Then, I figured one of those electronic mosquito traps that sizzle the mosquito on contact would be a good idea, though instead of placing it outdoors, I would place it indoors when we came across a mosquito.  That idea was the winning idea for a bit, until I discovered the warning that specified it was not intended to be used in an area with human activity.  Darn!  I knew I didn't want to spray DEET or any other chemicals.  I then recalled how some people used mosquito nets that hung over their beds as a way to keep mosquitoes away when they were sleeping, and that idea went off like a light bulb.  I checked on Ebay and I'm going to get us a bed canopy!!  It basically looks like a tent!!  I admit, it looks kinda silly, but at least I can pretend that we're camping!  Fun stuff!  I might include a picture when it's all set up!  =P

Outfit 37 - Blue-Green Crochet Top with Beading

This is one out of the three tops that I own that contains beading.  I usually avoid stuff like that because I fear they will fall off in the washing machine, but life's too short to not own clothing with semi-intricate details.  =D  This top is more see-through than it would let on.  ;P

I think I'm trying to show how low my heels are.  That's actually the height I prefer!  Also, this pose kinda reminds me of Sailor Moon!  Hehehehe.

The largest flower reminds me of a starfish.  In fact, I think this is the first time I've realized that it's actually a flower.  I felt this top had a beach-y feel to it because I thought they were starfishes.

Here's a close-up of the "starfish," and now you can see just how see-through this shirt is!

Thanks for sharing your stories and insight from the last entry regarding wedding rings and losing things.  Yes, must figure out a designated area for important things and remember to put things back where they belong!  That has always been a problem of mine!  My mother has the same problem, so I think it's learned!  =P  Oh, the excuses!

Anyway, on a different and another random note, does anyone know of any good solutions to an indoor mosquito problem?  We've had just one or two spoil our sleep at night because we awaken to their buzzing around our ears!  It seriously freaks me out when that happens and we lose precious sleep over this!  We've started turning on the fan to try and steer it off course while we sleep, but that just means it's still roaming around somewhere else indoors!  We live right next to a man-made pond/stream, so that probably explains where they come from!  *Sigh*

Outfit 36 - Old Navy Orange Yellow Red Gray Dress

I love the color combination of this dress, especially the reds, coral orange, and the yellow.  The belt is suppose to be a lighter gray color, but it looks way darker in these pictures.

I have a thing for chain purses.  :D

So, I had a semi-dilemma that has now been resolved, thankfully, but you should have heard what was running through my mind before then!  The dilemma was that I had misplaced my wedding rings and had already checked the "usual" spots that I could have carelessly placed them at.  I admit, sometimes, my fingers get itchy/rashy, or swollen, or I'm cleaning and have to get my hands really dirty, and during these times, I take off my rings.  I can go several days without wearing my wedding rings too.  >_<  Here are some ideas I had on what to do:

A) Tell the husband and have him freak the heck out - my rings are uninsured.  Hahaha.
B) Assume he probably found them laying around and decided to teach me a lesson, so act cool and play along.
C) Have this grand idea that maybe he decided to be considerate and so snuck the rings off my finger while I was sleeping and had them re-dipped for me in time for our 3 year wedding anniversary.  (A big fat "YAH RIGHT"!!!)
D) Find a replacement that looks similar and pass it off as the real thing!
E) Say nothing and maybe he won't realize it's missing.....

In the end, thankfully none of these ideas were entertained for too long (only several hours).  I found my wedding rings hanging on my earring stand like they belonged there, which they didn't!!  Before I found them, I was kinda making bargains with the universe (or God) that if I were to find them, I would never take them off again, or only place them in ONE designated area, or get them insured, etc, etc. etc., but now that they're back....it's like old times again and I might or might not have learned my lesson!  >:P

Outfit 35 - Busy Orange, Maroon and Pink Dress

Target 75% off dress!  I think you guys will get tired of hearing me say that, because that's where all my clothing from Target comes from!  =P  :)  I'm pretty bad at coming up with descriptions to clothing items with patterns, so I think "busy" describes this dress well enough.  I'm the type of person that rarely cares about patterns, as long as the dress fits nicely, I'll usually consider it!

Yep, a cardigan to sweeten up the look!  Hehehehe.  =P

And, before anyone freaks out (or not), this is NOT a Chanel purse, although I admit, it's meant to be a dupe of one.  :D It's suppose to be a light pink color, but it kinda looks like a light beige color in these pictures.

After seeing several fellow petites with the real thing, I couldn't help but lust after one.  But, I'm also a realistic person as well, and I recognize that I don't like to baby my purses and put them into dust bags or things like that after each use, so I looked for an alternative.  That was only a small reason, as obviously the biggest reason was the price!  I'm in no position to buy the real thing yet (or ever), so this is probably as close as it comes to having a Chanel-esque purse!  I'm happy with it, but I admit, I feel a little embarrassed that it's obviously a dupe for the real thing.  I almost feel like....a FRAUD!!  (Which, admittedly, I am, based on this!)  >_<

Outfit 34 - Forest Green Embellished Top + Skirt

I was drawn to this shirt because of the color and the embellishments.  It being see-through was a bit of a problem though.  =P

I know peasant skirts aren't really "in" anymore (or are they??), but I liked the color and the length.  It was instant love at first try!

I'm usually not into things with sequins or beading because I'm afraid it might come off in the wash.  I'm too lazy to hand wash things, but I also doubt that my hands would do a better job than the washing machine anyway.  I just stuck this into one of those delicate bags and hoped for the best!

You might think this is a gratuitous cleavage shot, but it ain't, cuz there's like nothing to see *there*, but at least you can see the beading and sequins better!  Hahaha.  =P
