Here is yet another dress from the 75% off clearance rack at Target. I seem to have some success finding dresses that actually fit - length-wise. I've had this magenta belt in my wardrobe for years, back when belts first came back in. There were mostly wide belts at the time and now skinnier belts have taken the lime light. So, what do you think about wider belts? Are they a no-no for petites? I've heard such things, but I need confirmation! I guess it also really depends on the outfit! =P
This cropped blue cardigan matches my shoes perfectly! :D Oooh, this dress also has pockets! Neato!
This light purple cardigan matches the flowers more.
And, this purse matches the light purple cardigan! Matchy-matchy! That's a little too much! =P

ReplyDeleteLove that dress with both stylings. Following you now!
ReplyDeleteI think the dress with the blue cardigan is my favorite outfit of the entire challenge so far. It's gorgeous!

I love every variation you posted of this outfit. SO cute. Even the matchy matchy one with the bag!
ReplyDeleteI love the darker cardigan and the shoes! What a cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love skinny belts, wide belts will always have my heart.

I love that dress! Target has the most amazing clearance prices. I won't even buy anything full-priced anymore. As for the wide belt, I think you chose a very flattering width. I do think that some widths can be overwhelming on certain shapes and you have to judge your own body and the pieces you choose. I think you made the right choice here.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love both looks with both cardigans. They were made for that dress. And as for wide belts, my first memory was of those peasant/gypsy skirts with the huge belts that looked like metal disks. I was never a big fan and am partial to skinnier belts. Though I did help my sister buy a wide belt last year and am thinking I need one in my wardrobe. Wider belts do serve a function that skinnier belts can't remedy.
ReplyDeleteI really like wide belts; your magenta one is great! All the iterations are lovely, but I think the lavender one is my favorite. Also, what a stunning bag!
ReplyDeleteGreat find!! I miss those Target 75% off racks. I liked the blue cardigan with the dress. Also you look great with a wide belt, doesn't matter if you're petite.
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome! That dress is great and fits you like a glove. I really love the wide belt with it. I still love wide belts in general. The darker cardi is cute and would be just enough transition to still tote that purse. Just a thought :)
ReplyDeleteThe 75% off rack and I are very good friends :) Great find!
ReplyDeleteYou are so adorably put-together! I really like how the cardi matches the shoes (the shoes, on their own, are must-haves).

what a versatile dress! i'm a fan of belts, both wide and skinny. don't think the wide belts are a no-no for petites. you look great!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the cut of that blue cardigan. It looks good with the thick belt.
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean with skinny belts being in a thick belts being out. I still have more thick belts.
A wide belt is perfectly fine for petites as long as your waist is on the small side. At first, I liked the dark blue accents the best, but then that purse in the last photo caused me to consider the two a tie. Nicely styled.
