Outfit 10 - Brown Floral Skort

Here I go again, attempting to mix patterns!  I like the blouse because it's silky and light.  The pattern is not my usual fare though!  I like the look of the skort from the front.  Not sure about the back though!

Here's a picture so you can see the back of the skort.

I wore this houndstooth blazer to top it off.  Yet another pattern added to the mix!  I bought this 2.5 years ago at Target for $5 from the 75% off rack.  =D  That's usually the only clothing rack I check while there.  :)

Just wanted to see how the blazer looked buttoned up!

I wore the necklace outside of my shirt, and I thought I was so clever!  =P  Hahaha.  Turns out it's done all the time!  =P

Outfit 9 - Scarf Tuck

So I've been seeing this trend and dying to try it as well!  It gives me something else to do with my scarves.  I have a MASSIVE scarf collection, 95% thrifted.  I can't control myself when they're only $1 each!  =P  Today's scarf happens to NOT be thrifted though.  In fact, this whole outfit does not contain anything thrifted at all!  *Gasp*

I like to prepare for the cold by planning what jacket or cardigan I would wear on top.

Just for fun, I tried on some jeans.  I don't wear jeans often.  They're too restricting in the belly area!  Must lose belly fat somehow!  >_<

And for even more fun, I tried on some leggings.  I don't think I will go that route since my shirt is too short for that!

I hope the patterns from the shirt and the scarf didn't clash too much!  I'm still VERY new at mixing patterns.

Outfit 8 - Brown Leafy Shirt + Vintage Purse

If I were pregnant, this would be a good shirt for that.  Lots of room for expansion!  =P  Don't worry, I'm wearing shorts underneath.  ^_~

I am wearing a wooden beaded necklace from my first garage sale adventure that I posted a few entries back.  :)  I'm soooooo bad with accessorizing!  It's the most difficult part of putting together an outfit in my opinion!

This purse was given to me by my mother this past weekend   She said this was the very purse she brought with her when she first came to America, so it's almost three decades old!  It's accented with real snake skin (kinda creepy) and it's in good condition too!  She probably didn't use it much after I came along!  I kinda expect that once I have kids, I'll be carrying huge purses around that hold anything and everything!  Hahaha.  =P

Outfit 7 - Pink with Brown Polka Dots

I wore this dress for a friend's bridal shower over the weekend.  It's soft and satin-y but wrinkles easily!

I wore a different cardigan this time around, but it's still very close to my beloved light purple cardigan.  *Sigh* I love pastel colors.  :)

I had thought my white purse wouldn't go with many outfits, but I guess I'm wrong!  (Hopefully.)

The shoes remind me of the kind my mom used to wear in the late 70's.  :)

Outfit 6 - Navy Blue Floral Dress

I love almost everything about this floral dress.  I love the shape, the floral pattern, the length, and the fact that it was thrifted!  Perhaps the only thing I don't like about it is that it's unlined and wrinkles kinda easily.  Good thing it's not obvious from the pictures!

See, I'm once again putting that light purple cardigan to good use!  It matches some of the flowers on the dress.

*Sigh* I am in LOVE with the shape of this purse!  I love the quality and construction (Made in Italy), but I was a bit hesitant about the color.  It's kinda a bright white in my opinion.  I know white is suppose to be a neutral color like black, but I don't see white purses often.  Plus, I wonder if it's the sort of purse I have to put away after Labor Day, if I cared about that "rule" at all.  =P

Outfit 5 - Gray Pleated Skirt

All the clothing from this outfit was thrifted, even the belt.  =D

The floral button-up shirt is actually a size 12P, so I figured I should wear a cardigan to cover that fact.

Gee, you guys are gonna get sick of seeing this light purple cardigan.  This makes me want MORE MORE MORE cardigans in every different color!  :)

I love pastel colors, so I LOVE this pinkish-purple colored purse.  I am in love!  It goes with my light purple cardigan.  =P   I also love the style.  I think it's a classic.  :)

Outfit 4 - Ruffled Top with Pencil Skirt

I really like the polished look of a pencil skirt.  It looks so classy.  That's what I was going for.  This skirt was thrifted from Goodwill for $5, and it happens to be name brand (United Colors of Benneton). It's non-wrinkle, supposedly.  I still had to iron it a tiny bit though.  It's also un-lined.  :(

I first tried on this button-up shirt from Express that I had purchased years ago.  I liked that it tied in the front.  I didn't like that I couldn't wear a cardigan over this without the semi-puffy sleeves showing through, so I changed.

The next thing I went for was something sleeveless with ruffles!  This shirt was thrifted by my sister, but she ended up giving it to me.  I forgot the reason....maybe it was too big for her?  Hahaha.

To complete the look, I definitely knew I was going to add a strand of pearls.  This necklace of mine is near and dear to my heart because my mother gifted this to me for my wedding.  :) I own a low of cheap items, but I really have learned that some nice things really pay for themselves over time if you wear them frequently.  I used to save these nice things for special occasions, but then they ended up not getting worn or used enough.  I am changing that though!

Outfit 3 - Polka Dot Dress with Bow

I'm not sure that this is officially a dress, but it certainly is one on short lil' ol' me.  I instantly fell in love with this when I found it at Goodwill.  I have a thing for polka dots and bows, both included on this dress.  I wore a sheer white lace top underneath so it looks like I'm showing less skin.  =P

I don't actually have trouble finding belts that fit around my waist.  My waist ain't that tiny, unfortunately.  I was using the second-to-last notch on this belt for goodness sakes!  >_<

I was inspired to purchase this quilted bag because I had been seeing too much Chanel from various petite bloggers.  I love the beige neutral color.  I have a much better knock-off though which I will feature in a future post.  :)

Outfit 2 - A Sheer Floral Top

Gee, I really need to work on the titles.  I'm so bad with descriptions as well!

I know it's already spring, but it's still not as warm as it should be, though it certainly was a couple of days ago.  (Hello mid-80's and sunshine!) Also, now that I think about it, dark colors like this almost seem inappropriate for a spring outfit.  I wore a black lace top underneath so the lace peeped out a bit on the top.  I like the pattern of the shirt dress but am not so sure I am fond of the shape.  A belt fixes most things though =P  I am also wearing leggings...as pants!  Hahaha.

After I layered a green cardigan, I liked this outfit a lot more.  It helped to hide the awkward shape.  I'm very new to layering.  I've been afraid to do it in the past for fear of looking too bulky.  >_<  I also noticed that this outfit contains no items that were thrifted!  Oh wells!  Maybe next time!

Shirt Dress: Target
Lace Top: Ebay
Leggings: Marshalls
Belt: Dollar Tree
Cardigan: Target
Necklace: Stole from sister.  :)
Bracelet: H&M
 Boots: Sketchers

Below are some items I found from a garage sale.  I'm quite pleased with the purchase.  The necklaces were only $1 each, and it was a fund-raising drive, so no guilt!  =P  I've been looking for chunky necklaces because most of mine are small and dainty.

These brooches were 50 cents each.  I was enamored with the black bow, and was quite excited over the cameo brooch, though I know it's merely cheap plastic.  =P  I've been on a brooch kick lately.

Well, that's all for now!  :)
